About

This site is dedicated to the memory of our friend Lisa Garner.

If you would like to add a thought or memory, post a photo or in any other way contribute to this site there are two options. The first, and simplest, is to add a comment to an existing post. If the comment stands on its own, rather than adding commentary, I will turn it into a post so that others can find it more easily, with the author’s consent of course.

The second way to contribute is to post using WordPress’ administrative functionality.  To do this you need to be added as a contributor to the blog. Leave a comment on this page requesting to become a contributor and I will add you right away or otherwise help you to add content to this blog. You can make suggestions for changes or features in the same way.

If you want to keep up with this blog’s latest posts and comments you can use the RSS icon RSS Icon in the upper right corner of the sidebar to add this site to your Google or Yahoo! home page, RSS feed reader, etc.  You can also come back regularly to read the latest entries.  I invite you to share.

For the girls( Alejandra and Isabela) she was their auntie Gogi (so named by Alejandra as a baby). Attending both deliveries she was one of the first people they laid eyes on in this world. For Thomas and I, she was our older sister, our family photographer, our Monday night Melrose Place spaghetti dinner.

She made vats of corn chowder with varying degrees of success. She found the best deals in vintage clothes and dishware on e-bay & at yard sales all over New England. Spent hours in the loft figuring out how she was going to make something beautiful. Suede bound journals, beaded lamps, quilts…

She was an incredibly talented photographer. Capturing more than the physical scene, her photos radiated the soul. She was one of the kindest most forgiving people I have ever met.

    Hello everyone.
I just did a google search for “garner and cowie photo” and this came up.
    What a wonderful reminder.
i’m firing up the wedding and portrait stuff so that means I need to redo some of the old wedding website stuff. Scary but fun. Lisa would approve.
“Sure, do what ever you want to do, just don’t get me involved.” would be the support I’d get.

In any case, I have a lot of her prints in my closet and they need homes. I don’t quite know what to do with them. There are lots of repeats and work prints. I have to figure it out and am open to suggestions.

I’m so glad to have folks who knew her passions and can offer some guidance.

    Thanks
    Ron
